... A DREAM COME TRUE ...
Since the mid-80s Stefano T. Fabrizi has travelled through the wild and unknown Peloponnese. A big fan of mountain biking and adventure, he explored every corner of this land and imagined that one day it could become the ideal place for a mountain bike race in one-step. Imagination, a dream, he is committed to a long process of surveying and GPS mapping. For many years, the dream remains in a drawer, until he meets Wildtrack. After riding hundreds of miles and thousands of meters of altitude on these trails, Wildtrack-www.wildtrack.it - that is, Marco Costa, one of the strongest Italians in international ultracycling racing and starred in several adventure trips, and Elena Massarenti, former Italian mountain bike endurance champion, tenacious and adventurous traveller with a passion for the mountains, have decided to support Stefano’s project.
Thus in the spring of 2011 the idea of Hellas Trans Mountains was born: self supported mountain bike endurance.

WHAT IS A SELF SUPPORTED ENDURANCE ?
It 's a race to be carried out without external support and technical assistance and equipped independently. The athletes maintain the pace according to their individual sports skills and ability to adapt, deciding freely their stops for rest and food supply. The goal is to complete the race in the fastest time possible, no later than the deadline established by the Organization.
Staff supervise of the race, controls the checkpoints along the route and intervenes only in case of emergency / rescue.
